Before You Begin

Before you appeal a decision to the School Transport Appeals Board please ensure that you have the following information to hand: -

  • Official name or roll number of school child attends.
  • Electronic copies of any documentation that you wish to submit in support of your appeal.
  • Any other information which you feel may be important for your appeal.

If you wish to include any documents for the attention of the Board that are of a particularly sensitive or personal nature which you are unable or uncomfortable submitting electronically, you may send them via registered post directly to:

Filling In The Form

To appeal a decision by Department of Education and Skills/Bus Éireann, click on the appeal form button on this page.

You should note the time provisions for submitting an appeal form to the Board and ensure that you submit your appeal any time up to the expiration of 28 calendar days from the date of the notification of the decision made by or on behalf of Department of Education and Skills/ Bus Éireann.

At any point while you are filling in the on-line form, you may navigate backwards to review or change any fields you have previously completed, but you can only move forward once all mandatory fields (those marked with an asterisk *) have been completed. When you are navigating through the form, please use the “next” and “back” buttons and NOT the browser controls. Once you have submitted the details of your appeal you may print a copy of your data or save it as an Adobe Acrobat document.
